SkillsUSA Louisiana, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit educational corporation and is chartered by the Louisiana Secretary of State. It was incorporated as Louisiana VICA, Inc. on June 6, 1986, renamed Louisiana SkillsUSA-VICA, Inc. in September, 1999 and acquired the title of SKILLS USA LOUISIANA, INC. on February 2, 2004. On April 26, 2010 restated its Articles of Incorporation of SKILLS USA LOUISIANA, INC., domiciled at GRAY, LOUISIANA, and changing the corporate name to SKILLSUSA LOUISIANA, INC.

 

SkillsUSA is exempt under section 501 (c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code. SkillsUSA is also classified as a public charity under section 509 (a)(2) of the Internal Revenue Code. Contributions to SkillsUSA are deductible under section 170 of the Code, and that SkillsUSA is qualified to receive tax deductible bequests, devises, transfers or gifts under section 2055, 2106 or 2522 of the Internal Revenue Code. Contributions are tax deductible to the extent provided by the law.
