Welcome to a new School Year!!
Welcome back to a new school year! As we embark on this fresh academic journey, I trust that each of you had the opportunity to truly unwind and recharge during the break. The start of a new school year brings with it a sense of excitement and anticipation for the adventures and learning that lie ahead. It is a time to reconnect with friends, teachers, and the vibrant school community that makes each day special. I hope that the break provided you with moments of joy, reflection, and rejuvenation, allowing you to return with a renewed sense of energy and enthusiasm for all that this year has in store. May this school year be filled with growth, discovery, and memorable experiences that shape your journey and inspire you to reach new heights. Welcome back, and may this year be one of learning, laughter, and success!

New Year, New Theme: “Ignite Your Potential”
Our membership theme for the 2024-25 school year is “SkillsUSA: Ignite Your Potential.” This theme is designed to inspire the amazing work in our SkillsUSA chapters during the school year as students develop their Personal, Workplace and Technical Skills through our SkillsUSA Framework and realize their incredible potential. The theme will also be the topic for the 2025 SkillsUSA Chapter Display, Prepared Speech and Promotional Bulletin Board competitions.
We set the stage for that new theme at the close of the last school year as we announced the largest membership in SkillsUSA history at 413,293 student and teacher members nationwide and 475,749 total members! Our 2024 National Leadership & Skills Conference (NLSC) set records, too, including 17,802 attendees, the most ever! Now it’s time to focus on the year ahead, and that starts right at the local level in our 21,629 classrooms across the country. Are you ready to “Ignite Your Potential?” We encourage you to download the theme art and to use it in your SkillsUSA materials and communications.

Explore the SkillsUSA Brand Portal’s Photo Library
The SkillsUSA Brand Portal at brand.skillsusa.org is your resource for official brand assets including national, state and chapter logos, videos, PowerPoint templates, virtual backgrounds and more. You’ll also find SkillsUSA brand guidelines, links to our social media channels, forms to share story ideas for SkillsUSA Champions magazine and other valuable resources. The Brand Portal has been expanded with a new SkillsUSA Photo Library. We encourage you to explore the library and share it with your chapter officers so they can use photos to promote your SkillsUSA activities throughout the year. We will continue to update and enhance this library to make it easier for users to find the perfect photos so they can focus on message rather than method as they strengthen and grow their SkillsUSA chapters. For questions, contact Scott Price.
Share Your Champions
The SkillsUSA Champions magazine staff is always looking for potential feature stories to share with SkillsUSA Nation. If you know of a SkillsUSA student, advisor, industry partner or graduate whose story would be motivating and inspirational, please submit the information through our online form.
