The informational packet is available and can be found on the website, under the fall leadership conference tab. This years Fall Leadership Conference will be held at University of Lafayette's Student Union and the DoubleTree.

NEW In-person advisor training presented by the SkillsUSA national staff!

This years Pin, T-Shirt and Banner contest will be held entirely at the Louisiana Fall Leadership Conference in November. The Pin and T-Shirt contest are two part contest that consist of design judging and interview presentation, for this reason the student needs to attend the conference to earn maximum points. View the leadership page for more details on these contest. Each student needs to be registered in each contest for an additional $5.

Late registrations not submitted by EOD Nov 3rd will be charged a $5.00 late fee.

Join SkillsUSA by Nov. 15 for Extra Benefits

As an incentive, instructors who register at least 15 students in one technical program plus one or more professionals (instructors) by Nov. 15 will receive a free SkillsUSA resource. Becoming a professional member of SkillsUSA is one of the best ways to demonstrate to students the opportunities that membership provides. Professional members receive digital classroom resources and benefits including the Framework Integration Toolkit, Program of Work Toolkit, “Jump into STEM!,” SkillsUSA Championships Technical Standards, opportunities for professional development and more. National dues for professional members are $20 plus state dues, which vary. Visit the registration site and check for your state’s dues and deadlines.


Register Now for Pour the IndusTEA

On Wednesday, Nov. 15, at 2 p.m. ET, SkillsUSA will host Pour the IndusTEA, a free event that allows classrooms and chapters to engage directly with industry professionals. This high-energy, informative experience will connect students with business and industry panelists in your career cluster right from your classroom — and, best of all, everyone can participate! This year’s panelists include representatives from industry partners John Deere, Miller Electric, the American Culinary Federation, Sport Clips, Haskell Company and more. Register chapter leaders or whole classrooms and participate as a group. When you register, you will select your career cluster session and the number of students participating. Follow Pour the IndusTEA on SkillsUSA’s social media for a chance to win a $150 gift card to the SkillsUSA Store. See the flyer with details and a registration link. Beginning in November and continuing throughout the year, SkillsUSA will be celebrating various Heritage Months that have been recognized by current and past U.S. presidents and that match communities identified explicitly in career and technical education (CTE) legislation. This step signals our deeply held commitment to spotlight various community groups that make our diverse workforce strong, dynamic and productive. As November begins, we recognize SkillsUSA member and Navajo student Ryan Descheny for “National American Indian and Alaska Native Heritage Month” to showcase his incredible artistic and welding talents. In partnership with SkillsUSA, the Skilled Careers Coalition has just launched SKILLS JAM, an exciting, heart-pounding, show-stopping, skill-dropping docuseries. SKILLS JAM takes viewers on a thrilling journey alongside 14 SkillsUSA members from around the country as they compete in filmmaking, construction and video game development at the National Leadership & Skills Conference in Atlanta. Watch and experience the emotional rollercoaster as these talented students use their skills to chase their dream careers. This is their story … and our future! SkillsUSA Week T-shirt Design Challenge

SkillsUSA is seeking student designs for the official T-shirt of SkillsUSA Week 2024, which will be celebrated Feb. 5-9, 2024. One design will be selected and produced by the SkillsUSA Store. The contest is open to all paid student members. Only one entry per SkillsUSA member is permitted. Designs should follow the specifications outlined in the Challenge Guide. The deadline for submissions is Dec. 1 at 5 p.m. ET.


The SkillsUSA Store – Order Your Medallions

The SkillsUSA Store invites advisors to purchase Sub-State Medallions at a discounted price. The medallions are $1 off until Nov. 30. Awarding these medallions offers a proud moment for student achievement and

recognition as you honor local contestants with gold, silver, bronze or participant medallions on a tri-color ribbon lapel pin or neck ribbon.

Sessions include new advisor training, SkillsUSA Framework integration, using the SkillsUSA Advantage report in your presentations, how to run local career competitions and more.
